flowers from reused book pages, magazines or newspaper

You need:

• Pages from anold, reused book, magazine or newspaper(reuse always – never new use. Recycled crafts are hot.)
• Glue gun
• Buttons or covered cardboard disks (the inside waxy disk of a milk bottle top will do it)
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Sticky tape

How to make your paper craft flowers from book pages, magazines or newspaper:

1. Rip several pages from your book or newspaper (that have print on both sides) and make sure they are stacked evenly.

Cut the pages, all at once – so they are the same size – into even strips that are about 5cm wide.

Then cut thin strips 3/4 of the way into the paper all the way down.

2. Roll the strip up, pretty tight, pinching the bottom as you go.

3. Tape the bottom tightly. Stick a pencil in the middle and pull open the sides to spread it out like a flower. Set this aside.

4. Next you will repeat the same steps with another cut strip, only this time when you roll it up, roll it not so tight. You want to leave an opening to slip the first rolled layer into.

Open this one up also. First the bottom of the first rolled layer into this layer’s opening and secure tightly with a small blob of glue.

5. If you want an even thicker flower, you can repeat the above steps again, with the third layer having an even bigger hole.

Spread out the layers to your liking. You can also trim some of the inner layers for a more feathered effect.

6. Next, I hot glued some vintage buttons onto the centres. They really finish off the look! From there I hot glued the flowers into a small vase. It looks great on my bookshelves!

Junk Jumbo

This Jumbo is made of exclusively Junk...leaving colors nd glue...

material used:

• plastic bottles -for body -legs-trunk-ears
• mini feviquick tube-for tail
• waste paper
• coin cells-expired

  

green crafts-making bead necklaces!!

ingredients:

• 1/2 cup flour
• 1/2 cup cornstarch
• 1/2 cup salt
• hot water

Combine the flour, cornstarch, and salt. Mix a little bit of tempera paint powder into the hot water, table spoon of olive oil and add it a little bit at a time to the dry mix, until it forms a sticky dough. The consistency should be similar to clay.


Roll the dough into small balls (these will be your beads) and poke a hole into each one with a pencil, knitting needle, ortoothpick. Make sure to make the hole is big enough for yarn or string to pass through.

When the clay is dry, it’s ready for beading. Cut a piece of yarn into the appropriate length for your child’snecklace or bracelet, wrap a piece of masking tape around one end to make stringing easier, knot the other end, and set them to work!

the X-mas Tree!!

This is one of my earlier days work...very simple..
required are 

• a Binding wire/any steel wire which can be easily mend!
• A magazine cover (make sure that contains dark green and other multiple colours)

First take the wire desired length,Blunt the edges.

bend the wire like spring but after first circumference reduce the dia and make the top spring dia as smaller with a pointed end(see the picture)

Paste the magazine cover along with the wire that paper covers entire length.-leave it to dry

after dried-up cut the paper for leaves effect.hang colourful threads and small bells for decor

the final finish should be

a very happy Christmas to all

• scissors

Decorated glass bottles..

what you will do with all used glass bottles?? u can do some thing special with them just check here..!

Items required: 

1)Empty Glass bottles - as many u can..!

2) Glass liner -black preferably

3)glass colours - based on ur taste..!

the procedure is simple.just thought an image which will give a sharp colorful expression and mark on glass bottle with sketch pen/marker.(as pencil/pen will not work on glass surface).or u can take help of carbon paper to sketch.
after that mark with glass liner on the sketch outline.fill the colors as per ur expression...!
Backlit with White light high lights all ur work..
